Destiny Johnston from Yuba City High School, and Lily Spires from AeroSTEM Academy are preparing to take to the skies to attend the 2024 Women in Aviation (WAI) International Conference. Both students are recipients of the Northern California Aerospace Initiative and Soroptimist Club of Marysville-Yuba City WAI Scholarship Award program.
The WAI Int'l Conference is an exceptional opportunity for young women interested in pursuing a career in aerospace to gain exposure to multitudes of industry career pathways, learn from women who have been pioneers in their field, and connect with mentors.
