The Awards Program
The Northern California Aerospace Initiative (NCAI) is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Dreams Take Flight 2026 Awards Dinner, celebrating the outstanding achievements of students, educators, mentors, and schools advancing aerospace and aviation education in our region.

We invite your organization, school or district to nominate deserving candidates and programs for recognition at the Dreams Take Flight Awards Dinner on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Boyd Hall in Yuba City.
​
Each category will honor up to two awardees, selected for their excellence, inspiration, and commitment to aerospace education and career pathways.
Catagories

Skyward Excellence Award
Honoring schools and districts that provide or support exemplary aerospace and aviation education programs. -
Navigators of the Skies Award
Celebrating educators and mentors who have guided and inspired students in their aerospace and aviation journeys. -
Trailblazers in Aerospace Award
Recognizing young adults who participated in aerospace/aviation programs as students, pursued successful careers in the industry, and are now inspiring the next generation. -
Aerospace Aspirations Award
Highlighting high school students enrolled in aerospace/aviation programs who demonstrate commitment to pursuing careers in the industry.
Nomination Guidelines and How to Submit

Each organization, school or district may submit nominations in one or more categories.

A maximum of two awardees per category will be selected.

Please include:

Nominee’s name, role, and program affiliation

A brief description (250–500 words) of their achievements and impact

Supporting materials (optional): letters of recommendation, program highlights, or student testimonials
