Pathways to Aerospace Careers

Here are some aviation career pathways:

Air traffic controller

Air traffic control specialists, abbreviated ATCs, are personnel responsible for the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic in the global air traffic control system.

Airport manager

Ensures that the airport facility is running properly

Aerospace engineer

Develops new aircraft flight systems, designs new propulsion systems, or studies and analyzes aircraft aerodynamics

Airline pilot

Operates aircraft, follows safety protocols, and accumulates flight hours to advance in their career

Aviation manager

Plans projects, assesses costs and schedules, finds solutions to engineering problems, and oversees projects 

Flight attendant

A flight attendant, also known as a steward or stewardess, or air host or hostess, is a member of the aircrew aboard commercial flights, many business jets and some government aircraft. Collectively called cabin crew, flight attendants are primarily responsible for passenger safety and comfort.
